Faik Şahenk Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School

Faik Şahenk Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School is a public school established in 1997 by the Ayhan Şahenk Foundation in Niğde, Turkey. In the school, students between the ages of 14-18 are given vocational and technical education in three fields, namely Electrical-Electronic Technologies, Information Technologies, and Construction Technology. Currently, education continues with 50 teachers and 512 students who are experts in their fields. The students who graduate from the school continue to the university or enter the business life. For this reason, trainings on entrepreneurship are given and projects are implemented. In the last year, students do internship in a workplace operating in the vocational field they received their education.

The mission of the school is by managing and supervising quality education services based on competition, participation, and equality in success; To be an institution that is based on continuous development with its qualified education staff, who can shape the future of the region and the country, educate individuals with high self-confidence, aware of their national and moral values, communicate effectively with its stakeholders.

In addition to academic and vocational education, our students participate in many social, cultural and sports activities at school. Students have achieved successful results in the field of Vocational and Technical Education, university exams, project, and sports competitions. They have won provincial and regional championships in the school’s football, volleyball, badminton, table tennis and darts fields.

The school has participated and implemented many national and international projects. He carried out and successfully concluded Erasmus projects in the fields of school education and vocational education. By participating in many eTwinning projects at school, it has documented its success by obtaining the National Quality Label and the European Quality Label from these projects.

Science fairs and vocational education fairs are held at the school every year. As a team, students participate in National robot, Teknofest and Tübitak competitions on drones, various robots, and coding. In addition, every year, students carry out a social project that carries out the maintenance and renovation work of their houses and gardens that meet the needs of the elderly and disabled people around the school.

Faik Şahenk Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School; also attaches importance to environmental, climate and nature projects. Since the school was found to comply with the cleaning and hygiene rules by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of National Education, it received a WHITE FLAG CERTIFICATE; Since it is found suitable for healthy nutrition and active living conditions, it has been awarded the NUTRITION-FRIENDLY SCHOOL CERTIFICATE.
