The school was given opened in 2008 in Niğde as a 2nd Anatolian Teacher’s High School. Since 2011-2012 educational year the school is composed of 100 male, 100 female capacity of dorm, also has 32 classrooms, a sports hall the capacity of 770 people,1 open air basketball court, car park, conference hall, chemistry, biology, physics laboratories, ICT classroom, art room, music room, geography room, foreign language classroom, history room, study rooms, psychological counselling and guidance room, teachers room, administrative rooms and Erasmus room.
At present it has 656 students, 35 teachers, 4 deputy managers and a headmaster. The mission is to educate young leader whose abilities are considered, who are lifelong wise, cultured, skillful, poised, use scientific methods while solving troubles, interrogator, specialized on ICT, has an international consciousness, prone to collaboration and teamwork and represents Turkish Nation with merit. The vision is to be an institution which educates people in the direction of international standards and new values that are proper to general and special purposes of Turkish National Education and is to be an institution that every secondary education student wants to attend. Since the foundation, the school attached importance to cultural and sports activities and succeeded in these subjects in the area. In the field of swimming it has championship in Niğde for the last 2 years, in the field of handball it has 5 championship in Niğde and 2 group championship for the last 6 years, in the field of futsal it has 2 championship in Niğde for the last 5 years, in the field of tennis it has 4 championship in Niğde for the last 6 years, in the field of orienteering it has 2 championship in Niğde for the last two years, in the field of volleyball it has 2 championship in Niğde for the last 3 years, in the field of basketball it has a championship in Niğde for the last 4 years. Although the school has high-rate success of university exam, the students prefer the same jobs rather than creative ones. The school would like to develop students’ entrepreneurial skills. That’s why the school‘s staff has had a KA1 training on entrepreneurship by using creative drama. Now the goal is to share the gained methods and learn different ones on entrepreneurship.
