Entrepreneurship Fair at FSMTAL
Faik Sahenk Mesleki ve Teknik Anadolu Lisesi organized Entrepreneur Fair on Vocational Education with the participation of other vocational and technical high schools in the city. It was open to the public for three days.
Students prepared for the fair producing a lot of hand craft goods in advance.
Puff Keychain was an easy and quick work for crochet beginners who were familiar with the basic stiches. It gave an intro into a new stich-that was the puff stich. Our students made dozens of colorful keychains and sold them in our school’s fair.
Amigurumi is a craft in which people knit with shapes with wool and stuff to make three-dimensional objects. It can be said that its most characteristic feature is that people knit with one crochet hook. And it is becoming more popular day by day. So, our students learned how to make amigurumi in our school’s Erasmus+ Club and sold them in the fair.
Wood projects are, in brief, items made from wood, typically by hand, that serve specific people needs. If they’re good, they can be sold – and for good money!
So, our students learned in Erasmus Club what to make out of wood like
- Picture Frames
- Kitchen Utensils
- Boxes
- Children’s Toys
- Planters
- Birdhouses
- Chopping Boards
- Shelving
- Wine Racks
- Benches
- Jewelry Boxes
- Bath Trays
- Personalized Signs
- Coffee Tables
Then, students learned how to paint them.
Stone painting is an elegant way to express yourself by creating unique crafts for home and garden decor. Our students learned how to paint stones and turn them into decors. Then, they used some of them for the decoration of the school walls and the others for selling on the school fair.
Ebru is a traditional Turkish art of colourful patterns by sprinkling and brushing colour pigments onto a pan of oily water and then transferring the patterns to paper. There are so many other possibilities for crafting with marbled paper. Whether you’re into origami, journalling, scrapbooking, or decoupage, you can bring life into your designs with marbled paper. So, our students learned marbling art, used them for covering notebooks and sold them on the school fair.
The most important thing is that the school made a very big fair where students sold all these products. Thanks to the income of it, the school created another big library on the first floor for the school.
